2011 Snowfall Totals for New Jersey

February 2nd, 2011

Some locations in New Jersey have received over five feet of snow so far this winter!  Though thankfully it looks like most locations have received have received 3 feet or less of snow.  Atlantic City has an average annual snowfall total of about 15.7 inches.  They have already received almost 3 feet of snow, over double what they normally get.  In one storm alone last month (December 25-27) they received almost 2 feet of snow, setting a record for the highest snowfall total for a single storm.  Newark has a higher annual average snowfall total than Atlantic City with them seeing on average 27.6 inches of snow per year.  They, like Atlantic City, have received over double their normal total and it is only the beginning of February.  They received 24.5 inches of snow in December and over 3 feet of snow in January.  Wow!  Thankfully it looks like Newark is getting a little bit of a break with this latest storm (February 1-2).
